Practical, compassionate support
When standard correction isn't enough.
Our Low Vision Clinic at STOTTS. Burnley is designed for people whose vision cannot be fully improved with standard glasses, contact lenses or medical treatment.
If everyday tasks such as reading, writing, watching television, recognising faces, using a phone or managing at home have become more difficult, low vision support can help you understand what options are available.
Our aim
To help you use your remaining vision as effectively and confidently as possible.
What is low vision?
Reduced sight, even with the best correction.
Low vision is when sight remains reduced even with the best possible glasses or contact lenses. It can be caused by conditions including macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic eye disease. It does not mean nothing can be done — with the right advice, equipment and support, many people improve their independence and make daily tasks easier.
