A standard eye test focuses on whether you can read letters on a chart. That matters — but your vision has to work beyond the test room: driving, reading, screens, glare, tired eyes and looking between distances. Your examination considers your eye health, lifestyle, symptoms, previous glasses and what you actually need from your vision, because better recommendations usually start with a clearer picture.
