Our story
STOTTS. has been part of the North West for generations. What began as a traditional independent opticians has evolved into something more considered: a modern vision and hearing care experience built around clinical detail, personal understanding, better eyewear and long-term care. We are proud of our heritage, but we are not interested in standing still.
The world has changed. The way people use their eyes has changed. The expectations people have of healthcare, service and personal style have changed.
So we are changing too.
Beyond the chart
Most eye tests focus on whether you can see clearly in controlled conditions. That matters — but real vision happens in real life: on screens, in meetings, driving at night, reading, working, socialising, travelling and moving between distances all day. We consider your prescription, eye health, lifestyle, visual demands, comfort, eyewear, hearing and the way you actually live. Because a prescription is only part of the answer.
The difference is in the detail
Most lenses look clear. Many frames look similar. The same words are often used to describe very different products, technologies and levels of care. But the difference is often hidden in the details — lens design, measurements, materials, coatings, fitting, comfort, durability, aftercare and the quality of advice behind the recommendation.
