- Separate reading glasses Your varifocals already carry your near vision and you have not reported reading difficulty — a separate reading pair would mostly duplicate what you have.

Is Precision a more expensive lens?
Precision is not a price tier and not a Nikon tier. It differs from Everyday only in what we measure and discuss before the design is chosen. Which Nikon design that leads to is a dispensing decision made with you.
Why did my profile say Everyday rather than Precision?
Because Precision is only named when your day genuinely spans several distances and you also described a difficulty moving between them. One difficulty on its own does not earn it — and that is deliberate.
What is the Signature Vision Consultation line about?
Some Precision profiles mention it: a longer consultation at Unsworth or Urmston where the most individually specified designs are demonstrated in the Lens Atelier. Whether one is justified for you is decided with you in practice, never online.
