Time that's actually yours

We book proper, unhurried appointments. You'll never be rushed through, and there's always time for your questions.

Advice, never a sales pitch

We explain what we find in plain language and recommend only what genuinely helps. If you need nothing, we'll happily tell you so.

NHS & private, clearly explained

An NHS sight test is funded in full by the NHS, so if you are eligible there is nothing to pay. If you are not, our private fees are set out clearly and confirmed when you book — never after.

What to bring

Your current glasses, a list of any medication, and any previous prescriptions if you have them. First visits are welcome — just allow a little extra time.

Before you book.

What happens after I book?

You get a confirmation with the date, the practice and what to bring. If anything about the appointment needs to change — a longer slot, a different clinician — we ring you rather than leave you to find out on the day.

Can I book for someone else?

Yes. Book in their name and give us a number we can reach on the day. If you are booking for a child or for someone you care for, tell us when you book so we can allow for it.

How do I change or cancel an appointment?

Call the practice you booked with — the number is on your confirmation and on that practice’s page. As much notice as you can manage helps us offer the slot to somebody else, but we would always rather you moved an appointment than missed it.

Which practice should I book at?

Whichever suits you. All six practices do eye examinations and hearing care; some frame ranges are held at particular practices, and each practice page says what it offers. If you are not sure, ring and we will point you to the right one.
